"So how am I going to get out of this?" Michael asked as they all gathered back at the mansion.
"That's what I'm trying to figure out," Jack said as he drummed his fingers on the table in front of him.
"What about that old abandoned mansion on the other side of town?" Sally asked.
"What about it?"
"Michael could stay there. The mayor wouldn't get mad at us for keeping Michael here."
"Sally, I don't think that's necessary."
"That's okay Jack!" Michael interrupted, "Don't get me wrong I LOVE your house! But I think if I had a little place of my own for now it'd give me a chance to think things through."
"Are you sure Michael?"
"Of course! Plus I LOVE haunted houses!"
"Okay then." Jack helped Michael pack his things. All the while, Shock was watching helplessly.
"No..." she thought, "He can't be moving! He'll be closer to Oogie if he goes there!" When Michael left the abandoned mansion after showing Michael there, Shock quietly stepped into the mansion. "MICHAEL!" she called. Her voice echoed through the house. "MICHAEL!" she called again.
"Shock?" Michael asked as he bounded into the room, "What's wrong?"
"Michael! Please don't move here! You'll be in grave danger!"
"What? What do you mean sweetheart?"
"Oogie Boogie will find out you're here and he'll get you!!!"
Michael chuckled. "I'm sure I'll be fine," he said.
"But...Michael...I love you...I'll miss you!" Shock cried softly as she rubbed her eyes, wiping away her tears.
"Oh sweetheart," Michael crooned as he bent down and gave Shock a hug, "You can visit me any time."
"Oh thank you Michael!" And then Shock gave him a kiss on the cheek and skipped away. Michael smiled and blushed; even little girls made him blush.
Much later, a Michael heard a loud banging on his door. "Coming!" he called. He opened the door to find Jack, Sally, and the mayor. "What do you want?" Michael snapped coldly.
"I'm gonna make a deal with you," the mayor said hotly, "We're gonna have a little dance-off. If you win, you can stay here as long as you need and I won't bother you." But then the mayor smiled wickedly. "But if you loose, we must kill you." Michael's eyes grew wide. "You'll get three chances."
"Why would you kill me?" he asked, crossing his arms.
"I hate you." Michael laughed.
"Hate is such a strong word. I don't use it."
"Ha ha ha. So is it a deal?"
Michael thought for a moment. "All right. Deal." And they shook hands on it.
"There will be no kids allowed up here while you stay," the mayor suddenly said.
"What?!?" Michael cried, "Why?"
"You are a pedophile. No children for you," the mayor cackled. Michael whined under his breath like a sad puppy. "Oh get over it you sicko." Michael shot a glare at the mayor.
"You've got yourself another deal. But I must warn you. There WILL be blood on the dance floor."
Meanwhile, Shock was at home with her brothers. She was busy drawing a picture of Michael. Lock suddenly threw bug juices all over it.
"Lock! What the hell?" Shock cried angrily. Lock cackled.
"Serves the white woman right!" he said wickedly. Shock growled and lunged at Lock and tackled him. Barrel looked up from his coloring book and just rolled his eyes, licking his lollipop. Sometimes he wondered about them. He just hope Oogie Boogie stayed put and away from Michael. While Michael lived in that mansion, he was fresh bait. He just hoped that no one would make a big deal out of it.
