About a half an hour after Xenga came home from the disasterous meeting the other witches returned home. They came to her room hoping to be of some help. "Xenga dear? Is something wrong?" No awnser. Xenga just stared out the window. The witches looked at each other and sighed. "Well, if you need anything just tell us." They began to shut her door when she finally spoke up. "Who lives there." They both looked at her. "Who lives where dear?" Asked the small witch. "There. In that tree house." She pointed to it. The witches became a bit uneasy. "Oh, well actually no one lives there!" Said the Tall witch. "Yes, it's been abonanded for years!" The Small wtich added. Xenga looked back at them. "But, I something move and-"
"oh..um...Your eyes must've been playing tricks on you dear!" Xenga was about to question further but the witches quickly left the room. She sat on her bed angrily. "They lying to me Zare. I just know it." Zare cocked her head. " I'm going there tommorow. I don't care what anyone says.
The next day she waited for the opportune moment and tried to bolt out of the house. She was very suprised to have jack standing in her way. "Where do you think your going?" He seemed quite stern, but Xenga looked him straight in the eye. "Out." She said blankly.
"Where?"
"Nowhere."
Jack was persistant. "You'r not leaving until you tell me exactly where your going." Xenga's pale blue face turned bright red. "What's are you my Dad?!" She tried to get past him but with no luck. "The witches heard you say you were going to go to the tree house." Xenga looked at the two as if she had been betrayed then back at Jack. "Yeah So?" Jack looked very serious. "Xenga, this is for your own saftey. There are horrible things in that house. You must not go." Xenga sneered "Oh yeah, like telling me that is going to make me not want to go." The skeleton became furious. "You have to promise me you WILL NOT GO!" Xenga was a bit surprised, and backed off. "Okay okay. Don't have a cow." He glared at her. "I promise ok?" She walked by him and out the door. When jack thought she was out of ear shot he whistled for his dog. "Zero, follow her. Make sure she goes nowhere near the trio's hideout." The ghost dog barked and then flew off.
Xenga was walking for about five minutes when she noticd the white animal floating behind her. She was smart though, and changed her direction to the graveyard. Zero continues to follow her. She sat and took out a book. She kept her eye on him and finally after a half an hour he was sure she was going nowhere else and he left. "And I thought I'd have to wait longer." She was about to get up when a sudden sound made her stop. Well sounds actually. Xenga could've sworn it sounded like..children.
