The story of Jack and Sally as children. I came up with the idea when I read the fanfic "Why does it have to end this way?" so thanks, Rose87, and I hope you don't mind me doing this.
By the way, I know Sally never was a kid. But who cares, it's not like it matters.

Jack's P.O.V
----------------
I looked upon the misty figure of Halloween Town. It was the morning after Halloween and I still had lots of candy to eat. It didn't look like anyone was awake yet so I decided to go outside, just for a while. I took my jacket off the rack and walked down the stairs. Suddenly-
"Little Jack! What are you doing out here at this time of morning?"
It was the Mayor.
Simply, I replied, "I couldn't sleep, Mr Mayor, sir."
He smiled and ruffled my skull. "My boy, I was just going for a walk. Do you want to come?"
I smiled and nodded.
As we strolled through the town, I reached into my pocket. All I found was a small lollipop and a spider. I put the lollipop back into my pocket and said politely, "Here, Mr Mayor." I held out the spider in my hand to give to him.
He smiled in modesty. "My boy, you don't have to..."
"Go on. Have it."
The Mayor gave in and took my gift. "Thank you, son. I'll keep that with me."
It was then I realised how small I looked compared to the Mayor. I was only six but honestly. The Mayor wasn't even that tall. And my dad? Sheesh. When I snapped out of my little daydream I saw a sillouhette in the distance...
Sally's P.O.V
----------------
That was when I realised the two figures in the distance. I ran behind the town hall and peered around the corner...
Jack Skellington and the Mayor strolled past, deep in conversation. I visioned Jack with a rose in one hand and his other reaching out to me. I tried to grab it, but it was only a pole on the town hall. When the two left, I slid down the wall in depression. Me? With someone like Jack? Never. A tear fell down my cheek as I walked to the fountain, dipping my feet into the freezing water. I kicked my legs lightly, getting drips all over the bottom of the stone dragon thing. I gazed at my face in the green water. Jack didn't even know I existed. Why did I always hide?
