And then, baby. Everything. Went. Black
"But daddy please-"
"No, and that's the end of it. I don't trust this man."
Emily recalled her father's words, and gulped a bit. Had she made a mistake? Was he really not to be trusted? Looking around the forest, she saw no one. Emily sighed as she stood there. The fog making it slightly harder to see.
She waited continuously. Nervous, but whenever she thought of the worse that could happen, her head turned to the moon. Emily smiled at its beauty when full. Even in the dense fog it still shone out.
So around a quarter to three, as she guessed the time. She saw something. Her heart beating faster as she saw the figure. Had he come? "Hello?" she called out in an excited tone, looking tword the figure as her heart beat seemed to echo through the woods.
"Hello" came the reply of the figure. He pulled his cloak down to reveal it was him. Emily almost felt like laughing in joy, "I'm so happy you came!" she smiled. He smiled back, hugging her slightly, "I am so glad to see you as well my dear.....But.....I'm afraid this the last of our time together." he said.
Emily was confused, and a bit hurt, "What do you-" her words were cut off by screams. As blood was gushing from her body. Barkis dropped her to the floor with a smirk. She looked up, seeing he had a blade in his hands. Gasping now for air, as the wound was large and allowed much blood to fall out at once.
She clutched it, but felt him yanking her, and prying the family jewels from her. Along with the satchel of gold. She allowed a tear to fall from her body as she reached up to attempt to stop him, or at lest stand.
Poor Emily's efforts were failed as soon.....Everything went black.
