Sally, Anne, Jacob, and the rest of the school watched the town burn to ashes. Everyone had tears in their eyes, holding each other. Except for Sally, she stood on the spiral hill looking at the moon, pretending it was just another normal day. She stood very still and very precautious at the same time, for some reason she wasn’t scared of the fire, she was scared of something mightier.
The fire died down and now there was only smoke. Everyone was safe, but there was still no sign of Jack. Sally still stood at the top of the mountain staring down at the whole town who now depended on her leadership, she was the Queen anyways. Most of the town members were sad and some where angry. “ This brat can’t lead us, she was never meant to be our Queen. Jack was a fool, she isn’t meant for him.” Chanted some town members.
“ Mom, don’t listen to them, you are amazing” Said Anne. “ I have a job to do, Anne, you must be a good princess and lead this town, I have to go somewhere.” Said Sally. Anne couldn’t say anything else because Sally was already gone. The town murmured thoughts of Sally. Then Anne then gave her word in this.
“ Listen up! Stop blaming my mom, she loves Jack and he may be dead! If you guys think you are heartbroken just think how she is feeling. She was trying to be a good queen and not show her weakness. She has gone through a lot, her life could be mad into a soap and you know that. So please respect us, you haven’t even gotten to know her!” Yelled Anne. “ No! She hasn’t gotten to know US. The queen takes care of us! We don’t take care of her.” Chanted the town.
“ That is exactly it. You think The king and queen are supposed to take care of you, their family, and themselves, and you expect them to be 100% ready for anything. We have feelings too. We all should take care of eachother!” Yelled Anne as she went home with Jacob to let the town think of what she said.
Meanwhile Sally went off to search for something. She didn’t know what just something that would make her happy again. Maybe there was darkness that wanted her and that was what made her feel so depressed. Or maybe her spirit is leading her to Jack. Wherever he is.
Sally walked through the woods until she came to the center of the woods and saw the holiday doors. Sally was pulled to one red sort of circular shape bent a little at the top and pointed at the bottom. Sally opened the door and saw nothing but blackness. She shrugged and turned around to see someone’s very familiar staring at her with a worried face.
