It was a dark, clear, cold night in Halloween Town, and the moon was in full axis shining its white luminous light on all the dead citizen folks. High up in the two storied crooked house paced Jack as he gazed out towards the cemetery with the spiral hill leading to the woods. He thought hard about something…something so distant in his memories, so tragic it made him sadden with woe. The memory made him regret his decisions, depressed him more and more as he thought about it, and couldn’t believed how one person can make such an impact. He missed someone that he probably wouldn’t see anymore and just become a memory, like everything else in his past. He kept gazing at the woods through his window, he remembered the last moments he had with her before the men took her away. She had fair skin that was soft like a feather, and she had long waved black hair that reached her back- it flowed so swiftly against the harsh winter winds. Her eyes were large and glistened in the light of the moon, oh how beautiful they were. Her smile so gentle but so strengthening it kept you going the extra mile. Who was this woman so dear to him, what is her name? But what did it matter if that happened so long ago, why search and waste your day trying to find her. This situation was different because this is what led to the change of separation of the two worlds the living and the dead-despite the fact it’s already morally impossible to have contact with both. The day they were separated was the day Jack’s father over heard the situation and no longer had trust in the living because he feared the living would find the secret passage ways and destroy all dead citizens in the underworld. So then he demanded all passage to be sealed and taken away, it was as if they never existed. That time would stay sewn in Jack’s skull forever like a scar. His train of thought was broken by a knocking at the door. He turned his head slightly towards the sound of the knocking. “Hello, Jack. Are you there?” asked the feminine voice. It was sally. He walked silently to answer the door. “Oh hello sally, what brings you here?” He asked. “Well I thought maybe if you’re not busy, maybe we can go for a night stroll. The night is clear and the moon is at its highest.” He took a moment to think again, the memory was really interrupting him. “Jack?” she asked. “…Uh, oh sure I don’t mind.” He said. “Are you ok?”She asked him. “Yes, yes I’m ok, just I was thinking.” He said. With that said he step out and closed the door.
