This is a story about me and Jack hooking up. It is mostly Nightmare but with a little Phantom twist.
I had been dreaming about him for 3 months. One night, on Halloween, he came again. He took my hand and led me down the hall and out of the house. I began to sing(Phantom of the Opera) in my mind: "In sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came. That voice which calls to me and speaks my name. And do I dream again? For now I find, The Pumpkin King of Halloween is there right by my side." He began to sing: "Sing once again with me our strange duet. All of my love for you grows stronger yet. I see doubt in your eyes, you still think this a dream. The Pumpkin King of Halloween is here. Can't you see it's me?" (end)
I saw that he had led me to Halloween Town. "Why have you brought me here?" I asked. Jack said, "To be my bride, my queen, for there is none to be found. That is why I journeyed above the ground. I looked into a window and I beheld your grace. And I saw loneliness written upon thy face. And now I ask as I'm down on one knee, become my bride. Won't you please marry me? Take my hand and we'll be together forever."
I reached toward his outstretched hand when a large figure with a mask appeared. "Don't make the biggest mistake of your life!" it said. "Become MY bride, and we'll defeat him together!"
I ran to Jack. "Who is that?!" I asked. "Oogie Boogie." he replied. "I'll have her yet, Jack! Check the vows! Ah ha ha ha ha!" Oogie screamed. He ran around a corner and disappeared.
Later, as Jack and I were planning the wedding, I remembered Oogie's threat. I checked the vows. "Jack," I said. "The vows say 'Until death do you part'. Death has already parted us!" Jack pulled me close. I buried my face in his chest, sobbing. "We can never be together!" I sobbed. "The vows mean nothing." he said, and then, he left to go somewhere.
After his departure, I felt these horrible cramps. I sent for some pain medicine. Jack, meanwhile, was at Dr. Finklestein's laboratory for antidotes to every known poison. He didn't want me to think that I had to kill myself in order to marry him. Someone brought me my medicine. Jack was beating on the door, saying, "Don't do it! Please, don't!" I yelled through the door, "Jack, calm down, it's only medicine for these cramps!"
I looked on the bed and saw that whoever brought my medicine, had also brought a pregnancy test. "Well, why not?" I thought. There was a big red PLUS!
I opened the door and told Jack. He passed out. Real shocker, there. When he woke up, he said, "Oh, I just had the weirdest dream! You told me you were pregnant! Crazy, huh?" I raised an eyebrow. "Oh. You weren't kidding." "Don't you dare faint again!" I quickly said.
Now I really couldn't marry Jack. Not right away. If I died now, the baby might die with me. But even still, Jack and I were now bonded in a way much deeper than marriage; by our child.
The baby was born 6 months later. We named her Christine. She was a skeleton, but she had a heartbeat. We were married 1 month after Christine's birth. I had died in childbirth, so no poisons were involved.
When Christine was 2, I came home one day to find he room a wreck. Everything had been shredded, from her covers, to her rag dolls. Right away, I knew this was Oogie's doing. I grabbed my sword, Jack, his Soul Robber, and we ran to Oogie's lair.
When I went in, my eyes widened in horror. There was Christine, hanging by a rope over Oogie's pit of lava. "Mama!" she screamed. My sword flared with a violet fire as my fury mounted. "Oogie, you've got a good chance of keeping one of your legs if you let my daughter go now!" I said.
When he just laughed, I began to sing (Past the point of No Return): "Past the point of no return, the final threshold. You can't win, that's something you'll never learn." I advanced toward him. "Past the point of no return, no going back now. I'll get my daughter back and watch you burn. Give her back now, or death is assured." (end)
Jack and I ran toward our daughter. "Take one more step," threatened Oogie, "And she dies!" I screamed, "why do you want her?" "To break you and Jack." he said. "Marry me, or they die!"
He said, "Look at my face. This damage, which poisons our love." he began to sing (Music of the Night): "This face which earned a mother's fear and loathing. A mask, my first unfeeling scrap of clothing. Pity comes too late! Turn around and face your fate! An eternity with me, or they will die." (end)
I walked toward him, singing (Angel of Music): "Pitiful creature of darkness, what kind of life have you known? God give me courage to show you, you are not alone." (end) I stopped, removed his mask, and kissed him.
He looked at me like I was insane, then pulled me in for another. We pulled apart and he lowered Christine away from the glowing pit. He told us to leave, to forget this place. He produced a remote control and pushed a button. Jack and I ran with Christine because w knew that the lair was gonna blow.
When we got home, I put Christine to bed, then Jack and I went to sleep. In the morning, we went down to the wreckage. Jack found Oogie's body and we held a memorial.
I found his mask and it sits in a box on my dresser. When Christine is older, I'll tell her about it, but now, I think it's best if Jack and I keep her in the dark.
My thanks to hitokage195 for the picture of Jack as the Opera Ghost, and to Warner Bros. for making the movie, The Phantom of The Opera. Hope you enjoyed it. Please comment!!!!!
